Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates the tool. That company processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. We do not disclose a message outside our organization unless the law requires us to do so.

The published material identifies how Carroll County records may be requested from the sheriff, Iowa District Court, Iowa DCI, and Iowa Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into reports about other people or into consumer reports. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Links may lead to the Carroll County Sheriff, the county website, Carroll County's open-records policy, Iowa Courts Online, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check that policy before providing personal information.
